Marianne at the Carrboro Farmers Market
Hi!
Today we are going to take a video tour of the Carrboro Farmers Market. My husband and I go almost every Saturday during the summer. I work a lot on Saturdays so I go at different times of day depending on my schedule. It’s really interesting to see the different groups of people at different times. I can tell which of my friends are early birds and who likes to sleep in.
There is also a market on Wednesdays but it’s not as social for me. I usually just run over for some mid week tomatoes or corn.
August is one of my favorite times at the market. Mid August through mid September is pepper season and there is nothing better than the smell of roasting peppers. It takes me right back to college days in New Mexico.
