Sunset Creek is another Carrboro neighborhood with a Chapel Hill address. Like Lake Hogan Farms it is in the Carrboro planning area, has Carrboro taxes and a Chapel Hill address. It has Chapel Hill schools (Chapel Hill/Carrboro City School district) and in the McDougle Elementary and Middle walk zone. That’s important because future redistricting would be unlikely.

The neighborhood was developed in the mid 90′s. There were several custom builders in the neighborhood so the homes are each a little different while keeping a similar look. With only 64 homes and amenities including, a pool, clubhouse, playground, trails along the creek and lots of common area it was very popular and has had excellent resale value.

I have fond memories of Sunset Creek because when the neighborhood was first developed I worked with the builders and developer with sales and marketing. I remember the first home starting. It was fun to meet the new neighborhoods and help them with their plans and features. Since those early days I have sold many of the homes a second time and some even three times!
I would definitely suggest Sunset Creek as a good option when you are planning your visit.
